I am a sports car driver from Denmark, a 2-time champion, who has made history as a woman. In 2016 when I and my team won the IMSA WeatherTech Championship, I became the first woman to ever win a major full-season sportscar championship in North America and then I nailed it again 1 year later.
I inherited my need for speed, competitive spirit and adrenaline cravings from my dad – a legendary racer, Lars Erik Nielsen, who participated in some major racing events around the world.
I have personally been racing in high-profile championships such as Porsche Carrera Cups in Germany, Middle East and the USA, the IMSA WeatherTech Championship, Pirelli World Championship and ADAC GT Masters.
My philosophy is the following: “I’m not a female who’s a sports car driver, I am a sports car driver who’s a female. My personal statement is about the fact that nothing, including your gender, should stop you from pursuing your dreams and doing what you want.”
I truly walk my talk.
My focus goes towards the education of young girls, in 2019 I started an organization called “Accelerating Change”.
