About, Alla
Since childhood, I loved chocolate with dry fruits and nuts, or even simple dark chocolate would satisfy my craving. But perfect chocolate that suited my needs and my tastes? I could not find one. In 2015 I became vegetarian and then eventually raw vegan. And I kept craving for chocolate… The explorer in me found its way to the chocolate world. In the middle of my career in IT in Chicago, I started trying different recipes almost every day (and sometimes overnight, of course!), I simply could not stop. My friends eventually started asking me to make chocolate treats for them.
Very organically without any ambitious plans, my hobby became a business. In 2019 I left the IT company, sold the house, and in 2020 I relocated to California where I partnered with coffee shops, hair and spa salons, and had a couple of dozen clients who wanted my chocolates.
This is the story of how passion and hobby turned into a business that makes me happier every day.
